[20th December 2019, Lahore] Industry Roundtable Kamran Bangash (Special Assistant to Chief Minister KPK for Science & Technology and IT) was held at InfinIT Global Labs Head Quarters in collaboration with Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) on how the IT industry of Punjab can collaborate with KPK IT Ministry to accelerate IT development in KPK.

The conference was attended by Mr. Shahbaz Khan – Managing Director KPK Information Technology Board (KPITB), Mr. Syed Ahmad– Chairman P@SHA, Mr. Syed Ali - Vice Chairman PASHA and CEO 7Vals, Mr. Sajid Latif – Director General e-Governance Punjab Information Technology Board, Mr. Faisal Sherjan – Executive Director National Incubation Center Lahore, CEO's of leading IT companies, academicians and entrepreneurs.

The agenda of the Roundtable was to explore ways of building technology opportunities in KPK in collaboration with other provinces and advancing the Digital Policy of KPK. Mr. Shahbaz Khan showcased the work done in the domain of technology and innovation under the umbrella of KPITB. Building upon that participants put forth ways to involve and engage the IT community in the province. In addition, the way forward regarding the Centralised Economic Zones for the IT industry was deliberated on.

Kamran Bangash, ensuring facilitation, encouraged the participants to join hands with the KPK government and KPITB in particular to advance the digital economy in KPK.

On this occasion, Nabeel Qadeer, CEO InfinIT Global Labs, said that the IT sector has a significant role to play in strengthening the economy of Pakistan. He further emphasized the responsibility established IT Companies and experienced entrepreneurs have in shaping the fast developing IT sector of KPK.
