The next question after the book was published roughly 6 weeks ago was 'When is the launch?', and this Friday, on the 5th of March, 2021, it came to life at Packages Mall, Lahore. It has been a busy few days as the queries for the book have shot up yet again. I am told that the event saw a footfall of roughly 500 people in 2 hours (with COVID SOPs in place).
The highlight of the launch for me was it being hosted by my friend, Safa. She steered the event brilliantly and welcomed all those who took out time from their weekends.
Dr. Amjad Saqib, your endorsement of the book has made it all the more valuable, thank you for being the Chief Guest at our event. Faisal Sherjan, Ayub Ghauri , Yaqoob Bangash , Yasser Bashir , Shoaib Zahid Malik and Qaiser Ansari to name a few, we all can learn from you and strive to be better each day. Thank you to hundreds of messages from friends from my circles across business, tech & academia; Thank you for your support.
Usman Asif, stories of resilient founders like you, is who this book is about. Keep at it. Qaiser Abbas, your energy was missed! Thank you for all the support extended.
I'd like to mention the team of Packages Mall and their prudent publicity to hype up the event. From advertisement on their screens to logistical support to social media coverage, it was well coordinated.
This, of course, could not have been possible without Liberty Books and their push in launching this book nationwide. It has made it to their bestseller shelf I am told. Their on-ground support from the Liberty Books & Packages Mall teams (and our very own teams from our Miniso store) to their effort in pushing this book across all their stores speaks volume of their vision in promoting Pakistani authors.
I am thankful to all the people who showed up and kept coming throughout the launch. This includes all my students, industry and those who I was meeting for the first time.
The success of the event was evident as within the hour our stock at Liberty Books was sold out, Alhamdulillah.
Most importantly, none of this could have happened without the support of my family, especially Sara Hussain Nabeel and her steadfast approach to getting things done. This was hers and Safa's show throughout and I couldn't have asked for a better team to execute it.
The journey has only begun.
